For all thoes who drive.
Hey everyone, Its the first rain of the season, as usual people drive like idiots. Dont deny it, you probably do stupid shit driving in the rain.
PLEASE PLEASE take the extra steps to be cautious. Don't tailgate, please dont speed, and handle your car according to YOUR abilities. Give yourself an extra 15 mins to get wherever you plan to go. Like I said, drive the car to your abilities. Do you ever wonder what happens when you slam on your brakes in the rain? Take your car out to a parking lot, get to about 25mph and just slam on the brakes. See what happens.
1st rain after dry season or dry days is the worst...keep in mind all the dirt, oil, sludge that gets washed on the surface super slippery. With that in mind your car wont turn, stop or handle like it does during the summer.
Please check these things on your car to make sure your safe.
- NEW wiper blades, that are streak free, clear, and dont make that stupid clattering noise.
- Your defroster works, (hint A/C makes your windshield clear faster, then use heat to keep it clear)
- Make sure your tires have more than 1/4" tread depth, stick a penny head down your tread should come to the presidents hair line. If it dosent get NEW TIRES, if you can only afford one PAIR of tires, put them on the REAR of the car, leave the questionable ones in the front. (if you wonder why, pm me)
- Make sure your tires are INFLATED properly, visit a tire store to have this checked for free.
- Fill up your washerfluid tank, for christs sake its free.....use water .
- Lastly check your headlights/taillights esp your brake lights.
Thats bacially it, be safe... and dont cause an accident that im gonna get stuck in., or imma personally break your fingers. 2laughing.gif
