Spray Spoilers...you have been warned!
Hairspray movie = COMPLETE AWESOMENESS
I was afraid after having see the stage show *insert crazy 2 digit number here* I was going to be super critical of the movie....but I LOVED IT. I loved that I was surrounded by Hairhoppers who had on 'Spray shirts, hoodies, had Ultra Clutch cans and I love Link buttons.
Funny though, someone was talking about BWW and posting on there...it was amusing.
Applause when the movie started, applause when Tracy says she'd make every day negro day on the show, applause after Latifah did "I know where I been" and all the big good parts and Seaweed rescuing Penny. And everyone started singing "Mama Im a big girl now" on the way out of the theater.
I loved how things that had gotten cut from the show made small appearances in the film: the Madison (how psyched was I to hear that!), dodgeball, and Cooties. Loved the cameos...esp the talent agents.
Sadly, we got out too late for me to attempt to get to Barnes and Noble for my Harry Potter book...so I shall go first thing in the am. NO ONE BETTER SPOIL THIS BOOK FOR ME!!
