FINALLY...after years of waiting, I have Maroon5's new album and ALL 7 BONUS TRACKS in my possession. *does the happy dance of joy*
You all have no idea how excited I am to have this cd right now.
For those of you who have not known me for that long....here's the story.
I've been following the M5 boys since they were driving around in a crappy van and trailer playing for 25 people and no one knew who they were...pretty much since the day their first album "Songs about Jane" came out which was about a year and a half before "Harder to Breathe" actually became a hit. I've watched them go from nobodies playing frat houses at Princeton University at 2 in the morning when they came over to talk to me bc I actually knew who they were to seeing them sell out 3 shows at Radio City on their last full tour and being in aww talking to them afterward about how far they've come since that 1st of 3 crazy Priceton U shows. The fact they remember the drunken hijinx at that P-ton show cracked me up. They are such rockstars now..it's crazy....and to think Mel and I had Adam's purple undies thrown at our feet when they had duffle bags and no wardrobe cases and offers of PB and J sandwiches and soymilk (and James offering us Corona) from catering on their first opening gig for John Mayer. I'll never forget Adam doing the "I JUST PLAYED FOR 11,000 PEOPLE FOR THE FIRST TIME!! HOLY &*$*! I JUST PLAYED FOR 11,000 @%$#ing PEOPLE!" dance that night since it was their first big gig.
So yeah...having an amazing second album in my hands is crazy as it took FOREVER...and the fact that I love the songs? Even better. Seriously, it's a really hot bday present..
Only thing that bugs me...I miss the Ryan Dusick :(
