Well, for once I have something to talk about, some mighty might concerts... should have wrote about them earlier... ahwell..
Flogging Molly were ace, they were all smashed out thier faces on Guiness and the whole crowd were singing along and dancing with eachother. It was also my little sister's first ever gig. She was write up the front and the guitarist offered her some Guiness but she refused. Phhhhhht. Allthough she made up for it by getting her ticket signed by the banjo player.
I didn't have a clue who Ephel duath were before that night, and they were fucking queer. I was buying my t-shirts from the merch desk and all of a sudden this total grindcore thing starts up... with a trombone solo over the top. Then the proceded to go incredibly jazz, then back to grind core. Totally amazing, anyone bothering to read this should check them out at
http://www.earache.com. You have to look through the "catalouge and mp3's" bit, they're near the bottom somewhere...
Posion the well were totally chugging along, and they opened with this huge instrumental intro that ran into Crystal Lake. Made the night for me. Botchla and Nerdy were also fucking mighty, but Artists Rendering Of Me was intense. The whole crowd sang along, with thier fists in the air.
Dillinger Escape Plan were just Dillinger Escape Plan.... I can't describe it with mere words.
Hahaha, It all ended with Capdown, there was a serious Skank fest all round. I tried a stage dive and nobody caught me, and the support, a band called Twofold(?) had the Hundred Reasons guitarist, the short fat one, filling in on bass, and he was still reading it off pieces of paper while they were on stage, and he had the paper in the wrong order, so he was mortified when we spoke to him after the gig... poor Paul
