Nice day today. Went to the boardwalk with Sid and AJ. We took the transit in, created beautiful chaos in oc. It was really nice, actually. And I saw The Norman from camp!!! Who is (hopefully, he says) attending Towson next year. Hotness. On the bus, AJ and I sang new System really loud, and this one random kid joined in, and we really liked him, until he said he liked Bush.
And I was thinking...you listen to System but you like Bush? I mean it doesn't make sense.
"He probably just wanted to sound opinionated." Sid said, "I mean he probably thought, 'whoa, she has red hair!! I have to say something cool!!'"
PSH. So we had a really fun time. And later, I got a call from Adam. Him and The College Kids were going out to Denny's and they invited me =D So we put on Madagascar masks. And Mike snorted sugar.
Mike: I haven't done that in like a year.
Vee: You mean that time in the pizza place?
Mike: Yeah.
Vee: Wow, so you only do that when you're with me!!
Adam: Yeah, you just make us want to snort sugar.
Mike: It's true. I only snort sugar when I'm with you.
Vee: Aww, Mike. No one's ever said that to me before. How sweet...?
What fun. And now I'm home. Almost finished my book of the week: "The Spiral Dance" by Wiccan Peaceactivist Ecofeminist, STARHAWK. She's very cool. Tomorrow I have a job interview ^_____^
And Maura!!! I'm sorry love!! I miss you and I will call you soon!! Love you always. <3 <3 <3
So the "RENT" movie will be coming out this fall. I am excited, sort of, but here is my statement:
If "RENT" becomes another hip-hop fun movie like "Phantom", so be it. "RENT" deserves all the attention and fame in the world. But...I would not advise super conservatives to go and see it, as it involves gay people and aids and other groups that some people get so uncomfortable and worked up about. And I would just like to say that "RENT" is my favorite musical of all time, and I have seen it twice, and I fear that most people just won't understand it because it's so out there. Hopefully it will open minds and help change the world. Regardless, I love it and I'll have always loved it before it becomes 'popular' in a way that "Phantom" has.
So anyway...everyone come to Shaina's grad party/rock show at The Knights of Columbus on Saturday!! This will be the first one I have gone to in like 500 forevers, due to my extreme business. It's madness what the theatre does to you. Anyway I think it's okay considering I have gone for 5 years to these shows. But we're gonna have a rollicking good time. So, please come.
