if Eames learns one thing from this life, it’s to avoid a certain Dominic Cobb at all cost. Don’t get him wrong, Cobb is a good person for the most part, he can be a dick sometimes, but never means ill. It’s just his suggestions have the unfortunate tendency to lead Eames into a right mass.

Hindsight is 20/20.

It is fics like this that made me wish I was a shipper. Really.

I love the allegory of Eames as a selkie; you can never pin one down unless you steal the skin and that would mean keeping them in tormented thrall to you and Arthur would not want that.

The bit with Dom was something else together and so hot it near melt my keyboard.

I'm so glad it worked for you, cuz honestly, i'm not too confident about the characterizations in this piece, and it's damn easy to overdo it with melodrama n purple prose.

Nice; and I too endorse the selkie analogy. It fits him very well. AND I agree re: The Virgin Queen. Mr. Hardy's face is not the only thing going for him...he is plain irresistible!

I've read this a couple of times now and I'm still blown away. The way you portray the different relationships is just lovely. And the ending is just perfectly bittersweet and makes me want to hug everything.

Also I'm truly distressed that this doesn't have more comments because it's just so good!!!!
