"WAKE UP! IT'S CHRISTMAS!" I woke up to Uruha straddling and pulling on my shirt, shaking me away. "Reita! Get up!" I sat up and puled him into a kissed. He smiled against my lips and returned the kiss. Our lips danced to the rhythm of my heart beat; slow and steady. I pulled away with a smile. "Merry Christmas Uruha." He rested his head against my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my neck. "Would you like to open your present now?" "No, I want to wait. I'm not the impatient girlfriend you used to have. I've grown up, I'm wearing my bog boy clothes and everything." he replied with a grin. "You know, you really can't be my girlfriend." "Why not?!" "Because you're not a girl! You may be the most beautiful person in the world, definitely more gorgeous than any woman I've ever seen, but you're a guy." "Whatever. I can dream, can't I?" "Well I love the way you are." "Does that mean you love me?" "Yes! I've missed you so much." "I never left." "Well, you weren't with me. Now, let's get back to bed. I would at least like to get some sleep before breakfast so I can take you out to play in the snow." "You remembered your promise." he said smiling. "Yeah I know, now get off me and go back to sleep. It's four in the morning." "I would have woken you up at 12, but I fell asleep." We climbed under the blankets and snuggled up to me. I wrapped my arms around his slim waist and kissed him goodnight. It seemed as if I only blinked before Uruha was jumping on me again, screaming for me to wake up and cook. "Come on lazy! It's Christmas! You have to cook breakfast!" "But why?" "Because you can. I know you can cook, three years of practically living alone, you must know how." "I don't live alone." "Well every since your father became chairman of the board and you mom went into business with those Australian architects, you've been here alone a lot. When they aren't out of Japan on business, they're at work or out celebrating something business related. They missed their own anniversary party." "I guess you're right. Well, somewhat right. Ruki did stay with me throughout the years so wasn't completely alone. He was distant, but he was here." "I know that look in your eyes. You've gone and upset yourself talking about this. Come on, I'll help you out of bed and we can both make breakfast." his soft voice and kind words comforted me. I forced myself up and out of bed and grabbed Uruha's hand. "You know, you're cute when you wake up first thing in the morning." he said with a giggle. "I look like shit. I feel like shit. you, are a Goddess. Now let's get to the kitchen before I change my mind." "Whatever you say Mr. Scrooge." We walked out of my room and I let go of his hand. "I'm gonna use the bathroom, you can go on down." he nodded his head and I walked into the bathroom. I looked into the mirror and touched my face. "Who could love this face? How did I get to have such a beautiful person fall in love with me? I'm hideous." I gently caressed my face, my fingers brushed over the bluish bruise on my cheek. "You are beautiful. Inside and Out. Don't ever think otherwise Akira." I turned to see Uruha leaning on the doorway. His eyes were glassy, as if tears would spill over any second. "You know I love you, you mean the world to me. Even if you weren't incredibly hot, you'd still be the same Panda I've always known and loved." "This face is awful. The scratches and bruise only add to the disgrace." "Shut up Panda. They make you look tough. I find it sexy." he said walking over seductively. "And you took those hits for me. You're my knight in plaid pants." "Oh hush." "You hush." he wrapped his arms around my waist and nuzzled my neck. "Now stop being such a downer. You're hot and you know it. All the girls at school want you. They would kill to be in my position. Do be with the school's star athlete who also was voted in the top 10 most popular and top 10 hottest lists." "What?!" "You haven't heard of or seen the list?" "No! What was I ranked?" "2nd most popular, 3rd hottest." "Who was first hottest?" "Aoi." "What? Aoi? Are you serious?" "At least you didn't make in on the guy and girl lists. I was number five for the guys and first for girls! I'm not a girl!" "Was Kohara on either list?" "He's the 5th hottest girl in school apparently. 7th hottest guy." "Who the hell makes these things?" "I don't know. Probably some secret society of all girls. Like a cult or something." "Have I ever told you that you're crazy?" "Probably." he said smiling. "Let's go cook now. I'm starving!" he said, spinning me around and pushing me out the door. Lucky I didn't have to use the bathroom. "Carry me on your back!" "What?" "Do it!" he demanded. I bent down and he climbed on my back. He wasn't that heavy, so I didn't mind walking down the stairs with him riding piggyback style. I let him down in the kitchen. "How does cereal and coffee sound?" he asked. I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped. "It sounds perfect." We sat at the kitchen table eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch and drinking coffee in silence. Uruha went upstairs to shower while I was left to wash our dishes. It only too a few second to wash the two bowls, spoons, and mugs. I ran upstairs, he was still in the shower. I patiently waited for him in my bedroom, watching the snow fall. I began to think about what happened last night. I remember the panic in Uruha's voice, the fear in his eyes. "Reita? Are you okay?" I snapped out of my daze and nodded my head. "Yeah, just watching the snow." "Seems to me you were thinking about something. What's on your mind?" he crossed over to the bed and sat beside me. "Nothing, I was just watching the snow. And get off the bed! You're all wet!" "Well I was gonna dry off and get dressed in here. I thought you'd still be downstairs." he said, sliding off the bed. "And I'm gonna need to borrow some clothes, obviously." "You can't fit my clothes. You can borrow some of my moms." "Are you serious? I can't wear your moms clothes!" "She wont mind. Just go pick something. I'm gonna go shower." he walked out of the room, towel around his waist. I really enjoyed the view. Why did he have to have such a great body? So tempting. I ran into the bathroom before my thoughts got out of control and got washed. After I dried off I walked back to my bedroom to get dressed. "Your mom's clothes were just a size small so I had to wear some of your clothes. I hope you don't mind." "Not at all" I said with a smile, admiring the way he looking in my jeans and white sweater. It was cute, they fit rather nicely. "I'm not get dressed now so you might wanna get out for a second." "Okay, I'll be downstairs getting ready to go out. You owe me some fun in the snow." he said grinning ear to ear. "I know,so get out so I can get dressed." I said, pushing him out of the room and closing the door. I figure we wont be out long so I just threw on some ripped jeans and a blue sweater. Uruha came back up and put his cell phone on the bed. "I didn't come in too peep, just saying." "I never said you did. Guilty conscious?" of course I had to make a joke. He punched me and dragged me out of the room and down the stairs. "Just put on your boots and jacket." he threw my black leather jacket at me and I pulled it on along with my boots. He pulled out a pair of gloves from his coat pocket and put them on. "You're gonna need gloves Rei." "I don't have any." "Lucky for you, I have two extra pairs." "Why?" "In case I lose one pair, I'll have a backup. Here, wear these." he tossed me a pair of soft black gloves and pushed me out the door. The morning air mixed with the snow was refreshing. The sun hadn't peeked from behind the clouds. The sky was dim and grey. But everything else was white and glittery, covered in thick snow. It was too busy admiring the world, I never saw what was coming. "AH! THAT'S COLD!" "It's snow! What did you expect?" Uruha asked, packing another ball of snow. I dodged the next one and fired a snow back at him. I hit him in the arm, I was aiming for his legs. We shot fire at each other for a while before we collapsed in the snow. I laid down beside him, ignoring the bitter cold of the snow freezing my head. We made snow angels in the yard and admired our work. "You're looks better." I commented. "They look the same to me." he replied with a smile. He held my hand and kissed my cheek. "It's freezing out here, I wanna go back inside." "Great, I was hoping you'd say that." I smiled and carried him into the house. I kicked off my boots and ran over to the couch where I laid him down. "I'm gonna go make us some hot chocolate." He put his gloves back in his coat pocket and I hung it up for him. Then I took my jacket off and tossed it on the floor by the shoes. While I was busy in the kitchen, someone knocked on the door. "I'll get it!" Uruha said. I heard him answer the door. "Merry Christmas Kouyou! I decided to drop off your Christmas gifts before your father woke up." "Thanks mother." I stepped out of the kitchen just in time to see Mrs. Takashima. She handed Uruha a box covered in snowflake wrapping paper. There was an even larger box beside her on the steps. "You know I'll always love you and respect any decision you make. I talked to your father, he really does loves you. And he wants you and your brother to come back home when you both calm down." she said with a soft smile. "If he wants us home, he'd be a man and come tell us. Besides, Kouji isn't here." "Well, where is he?" she asked, worry covering her face. "His boyfriend's house. Me and Akira dropped him off last night before we came here." "Well, if you talk to him, can you please tell him what I said?" "Yeah, sure mom. Bye." "Bye Kouyou, goodbye Suzuki san." "Bye Mrs. Takashima. Happy Holidays." "You too." she nodded and walked away, back to her tiny car parked in the driveway. I helped Kouyou with the big box and set them in the living room. "What do you think's inside?" "I know what's inside the big one, that's the one I got for you." he said with a smile. "But you can't open it until after dinner." "Seriously?" "Yeah. That's when I'll open the one you gave me." I opened my mouth to protest but he held a finger to his lips and hushed me. I smiled and nodded. He won. He'll always gets what he wants. He deserves it after all. "So, you want to watch a move or play a game?" "Yeah, that sounds fine. You can pick." "I want to play a game so I can kick your ass in that rematch you owe me!" "Come on, that was like two weeks ago!" "Scared? Think you'll lose?" "No! I hate losing! I'll never lose to you!" He laughed and continued to make smug remarks. He'll eat his words when I kick his ass again. I refuse to lose to him again. Although, he did come pretty close last time. We played games for hours. We were tied, nine wins each. I was gonna just give up and let him win this final round. Until the phone rang..."Are you gonna get that?" he asked, eyes glued to the screen. "Yeah, pause the game." after he paused the game, I ran over to the house phone. "Hello?" "Merry Christmas!" "Oh, hey Kai. Merry Christmas." "We all decided to have go hang at Miyoko's . Mainly because none of us are cooking dinner and we're starving." "It's kind of late notice. I'm not even wearing nice clothes." "Who cares? I'm wearing that really ugly Christmas sweater my aunt sent me. It's not like we're going out to a nice, fancy restaurant." "Alright, I'll go tell Uruha." "Wait, he's with you? Where is Etsu?" Shit...I forgot, the others didn't know. I guess they'll have to find out sooner or later. "She's with her family. Uruha is staying voer at my place." "Oh, well then, see you guys when you get there." I hung up the phone and returned to the couch. I plopped down beside Uruha. He smiled. "So, who was it?" "Kai. And we wont have to cook dinner tonight." A/N: sorry for the super late update. Haven't been feeling well >.< Also, I apologize for any mistakes I've made.
