Yeah, totally. That's pretty much how we started back in vanilla - but (luckily) our really good people stayed, some of the less awesome people retired or left, and we just kept recruiting good people. We play about the same # of hours (3 days a week, 3.5/3.5/4.5 hour raids), and we're doing pretty well. My main is a rogue, but I know rogue/Enh shaman very well, so I'll look at those, but in general the areas hit on them are the same as everyone else.
Your rogue is .. bad. Spec is almost decent - no Blood Spatter, Vigor is worthless for a raiding rogue, combat tree is good, that 5th point in Relentless is worth quite a bit. Some small things to tidy up there. Gear is a mess - wrong cloak enchant, lvl 70 bracers, no chest enchant at all, no offhand enchant, a lvl 70 trinket that was overshadowed by numerous quest rewards on the way to 80, lvl 70 belt. If that guy's been 80 for more than a week, he hasn't been trying hard. Looking at his performance on Patchwerk: http://wowwebstats.com/iv4dbed6ivn3s?s=98610-145634&a=xddf11a , he never hit rupture (doh), let slice and dice drop 6 times in 4 minutes (... doh), never used Killing Spree, and is using the wrong poisons (Should be Deadly on one hand, Wound on the other - he has a talent that ONLY works when his target is poisoned by him, and yet he's not using any poisons that leave the target poisoned......)
I guess I didn't know which one you were - if you're the rogue, sorry >_>
Anyhow, you guys are pretty early on, so don't stress it too much. Gear will help a lot, but after about 6-7 weeks start looking at those patchwerk parses and the DPS people who are sub 4k are your problem areas - there's lots of resources to figure out what's wrong. :)
Sorry for hijacking your post, Rob. :) Maybe I'll see you at Blizzcon this year!??!
We had a great group of rogues in BC (I was the class captain), but they left for various places before we started raiding in LK. As far as I can remember, Lyr hasn't really raided at all until now. I've been totally unenthused about my rogue in LK, so I haven't been keeping up on the theory like I used to. I feel a bit embarrased though -- should've looked at him before now, heh.
I'm Mardraum, BTW. Up until my ISP replaced some equipment on Friday I'd been having net connection issues all the time, so the presence numbers before then aren't always accurate.
Thanks for the reply, we'll keep chugging along. :)
