I've been missing Lee a lot more than usual this week. He's been having to travel to Albuqurque (I can't spell the name of that town to save my life) a lot recently for work - he was gone the week before last and now he's gone this week as well. On top of that he's always exhausted when he comes back - typically when he's out there he's working 12+ hour days. I keep reminding him this is why he makes the big bucks, but it sucks when he's gone so much.
Other than that, life has been good. Lots of exciting stuff has been happening over the last month and will continue all summer. So far we've been to Dover for a NASCAR race, and Starscape, and probably lots of other fun stuff I'm forgetting. We have the Cock Island Regatta coming up here soon, the Fever Reunion, a couple of concerts, a visit to VA Beach and other summery things to look forward to. What I especially like about dating Lee is that he likes to get out and do things, which is refreshing. Also, he tells me he has something secret planned for my birthday and I'm not allowed to make plans. I'm hoping that all those hints I've dropped about wanting to go to the Inn at Little Washington have paid off, but really it could be just about anything and I would be pleased.
ALSO! We've rented the most badass house ever for our beach vacation this year. I am so excited. We still have spots available so if anyone is interested in coming along, please let me know. The house we rented is this one, and we'll be there from Oct 26 - Nov 2. It's going to be super cheap for everyone involved, and the house is super isolated so we'll be able to do whatever the hell we want.
Work is great, I still really love it here and love my work.
I've been on a movie watching kick lately, since Lee hasn't been around. I've seriously watched about 10 movies in the past two weeks. Also a reading kick, I just finished Water for Elephants and I really liked it. And we saw Indiana Jones in the theater and enjoyed it. I thought it fit well with the rest of the series and was pretty much exactly as expected, but there was some hokey sci-fi shit that I didn't care for.
