It was a good day today. Please America, let the goodness ensue.
WHY does a democracy have to be so complicated? WHY can't we just have people vote one day, count the votes the next, and then decide who wins? WHY do we need to invent complicated ballots, challenge people's voting rights, and discriminate against people of color at the polls?
This country seems to be filled with greedy people who don't care if an election is fair as long as they get what they want.
I'm so afraid of our country going down the drain. Right now in history we're studying all these patterns of society. Theoretically, America can't stay this powerful forever. If Bush is re-elected, things will get ugly - starting off with riots in the streets. I really can't understand why people would seriously vote for him, besides propaganda issues like abortion and gay marriage (not that those aren't important - they are very important! But here's the deal - you disapprove of abortion? don't have one. You're afraid that gay marriage will demean your straigt marriage? Ban celebrity marriages.
I wish there was a stronger democratic canidate than Kerry running. But if he wins, ol' Bill will probabaly help him out a bit. And seriously, at least Kerry pays attention to the facts. If there was a flip flop contest, Bush would win, hands down, sorry.
