Thank goodness I've averted disaster! We can't have that, can we. Glad to have been of service, and thank you!

That was awesome. I love this universe. I love the voice of Nigel. I love the way you portray the relationship between Miranda and Andy. It's truly beautiful. Please continue this story line. It is too god for you to stop.

I forgot to mention the detail you put into each part is awesome. Like the portraits of the two of them together. Too cool. Thanks for posting, and I meant too good, but the freudian slip applies. I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy, I'm scum. ;)

Scum, schmum. :D

Thanks so much. I'm very glad you enjoyed!

This is similar to "Interlude," in that it's a short stop on the way to a longer story (which will take a while, but I'm trying!)

Awwwwwwww! This is wonderful. Nigel's POV here is awesome, and I've been waiting to hear from him in this universe--what a treat. I was about to get all finger-waggy at him for watching Andy and Miranda (and getting turned on by it!) before I remembered that, of course, we're all doing the exact same thing, and at least he's upfront about it. So: go, Nigel. I hope he has fun with James!

Speaking of which. Sex On the Desk Hotness Level: 10. Whew. Thank you.

Oh, I thought of something else. I really love your description of the garden--how it's changed since the last time Nigel saw it. What a cool metaphor. And I thought

Stephen had been in the picture back then, and the whole night, he'd felt nervous. Frightened, even. The tension had been thick, but Miranda had smiled pleasantly, as had Stephen. That's what freaked him out. They were bizarrely… nice.

was especially good, because it captures that strange dynamic we saw between them at the benefit--Miranda's desperately trying to keep up appearances, and Stephen's too drunk to manage it anymore. What an empty, loveless relationship that must have been, by the end.

Yeah, Nigel'a voyeurism is questionable, but I figure this is a one time only thing, so why not enjoy it while he has the chance? I know I would. But I'd probably feel a lot worse about it. Glad the sex worked out as well--it was a fine line to walk with someone watching. Didn't want to reveal too much!

As for the garden, I'm glad that wasn't too on the nose. And yes, I figure Miranda was damned good at pretending at the end with Stephen, but how absolutely miserable. I actually have never seen that scene with drunk Stephen, but I've had it retold to me in great detail. I think it's about time I buy the movie, because my vision of Andy and Miranda in the elevator is probably dramatically better than the one in the flick.

Excellent, as always. I'm totally impressed by your writing speed/skill/variety. There can never be too much Nigel :-) I would like to concur with your other enthusiastic reviewers that this is a great universe, and I'd love to see more of it. I'd also love to spend some time in that garden, but I guess that's pretty unlikely :P

Yes, there is more to this universe--something I'm working on that will take a while. Hopefully this and other great work coming from our fabulous compatriots will hold you over! Thank you, again. :D
