Disclaimer: I don’t own anything associated with the Devil Wears Prada. It’s tragic.

Notes: Oh well, it's another porn battle entry. The DWP offerings seemed slim so I’m throwing my hat into the ring at the very last minute.

This is so sexy. Of course Miranda would have to draw it on Andy's back, where she couldn't see it right away! More than just that Miranda obviously finds A beautiful, it's clear that she's responding to her question (“I want to be the best,” Andy says. “Am I?”). Very well-played.

I also like that they're both so isolated from everyone but each other -- Nate and Stephen are gone, Nigel's avoiding M (and Andy by association, one would assume), Emily and the rest of the staff all seem about to get fired. It gives the whole thing a flavour of "everyone wants to be us." They also seem sort of strangely distant from each other (It might be the closest they’ve ever been... Their kiss is soft, which suits Andy since it’s the first of the night), which just adds another layer to it. These are two very different people with distinct personalities and interests, and their mutual attraction doesn't change that. Very canonical, and very cool.

You're very right on with the "everyone wants to be us," and I hadn't even realized I'd done it. (It's always great when comments reveal things about stories that the author doesn't consider when they write.) But the distance between them was absolutely intended, since they might be having sex, but the intimacy is unusual. And who knows where it will lead? For this version of the pair, it seems like it might be something just to help them both get through, rather than leading to "true love." And that's enough.

Thank you!
