Wow! I think its been forever since I posted anything of substance! **hangs head in shame**
Life has been rather quiet of late. Christmas break had me traveling to Louisiana with a local youth group. They all worked their tails off fixing home that had been damaged by hurricane Katrina, I stayed in the kitchen at the church with my mom, aunt and others and helped prepared the meals.
Since then, I haven't done much else of note, other than apply to the college course that I'm eager to take. Scary thought that there is a good chance that I'll be living in the big city of Ottawa for a year, starting in September. I may find out within the next few weeks if I'm accepted, so I shall keep my fingers crossed.
Since there isn't much of anything on TV these days, I have found myself pulling out old tapes of past shows to watch. I watched some Little House on the Prairie this past week. I loved that show years ago, however they don't seem to be playing it in syndication like they used to, so its been years since I actually watched anything significant. Still enjoyable and innocent fun! *L*
Last night I pulled out an old video taped and re-watched some UK Whose Line...just so happened that the tape I pulled out was the episode where ashab rose to Whoser fandom and ejumean cheered her in the audience !! I miss those days, watching episodes to find people I knew in the audience! *L* Next weekend will be 8 years since the Supertown/ gala weekend, its hard to believe that! Strange to think that I've known some of my flist that long...some even longer!
I'm still swimming....enjoying it a lot - especially when the pool is actually comfortable to swim in, rather than teeth chattering frigid, but its good to get out of the house and do something constructive - since I've been watching to much television lately ( and working as well!)
I do admit to watching some of the American Idol auditions. The first week I watched both nights, last week I watched the first night's episode while checking my email and I think I only got in about 5 minutes of the the second night episode. I'll probably start watching again once they have their final group. I can only take so much cocky singers who can't carry a tune in a basket, who think their King/Queen shit!
