new jobs, new times

well i finally landed a new job. *sigh* its good pay and the hours are great, but the work is going to be a bit much. i swear, my life is such a boiling pot of irony. i go 3-4 weeks without any replies to the countless number of resumes i sent out. so i take this job working for Savage, its a trainyard, i'm a switchman. mary's friend at work's husband is the boss and hired me on because i really needed a job. i only work 3 days a week and have a lovely 4 day weekend, but i'm still getting 40 hours. so its not bad. the bad part is i'm going to be out in the elements for 13 hours a day. great. i start on monday.

just 10 minutes ago, i got a call from a company i had applied for. $13/hr for data processing, benefits, meal cards, bonuses. a nice comfy seat in an office. utilize my degree a lil bit. and i had to turn them down. because i already have another job. *SIGH*

mary told me that my old boss was looking to hire a full time radio dj at the radio station i used to work at. i was only part time there before. i could have had a raise (maybe) and 40 hours a week. it really could have boosted my future job opportunities. but i didn't apply. because i already have another job. and that boss is a major jackass. plus they don't offer benefits.

so mary and i will be moving to kingwood next month. i want to live in a "nicer" part of houston for once. i hate baytown. i loathe liberty. i flat out despise dayton. we'll give kingwood a chance.

our plan is as follows:

work, live in kingwood, save a lil change, and when the time is right, move to canada. or atleast a bordering state. good plan, good good.
