Bafta's Part Two

I zone out for films that are in foreign languages. I blame Goddard making the least exciting gangster film in the History of humanity.

Okay - Chow rules. Shaolin Soccer was class.

'The Beat That My Heart Skipped' wins. The sequel 'The Second My Brain Died' is coming out soon - as is
the American Remake 'My Lung Has Cancer' directed by Rob Reiner, and saying a 'fuck you' to people who choose to smoke.

Mischa Barton GO BACK TO CALIFORNIA. You and James Blunt SCARRED ME for life.

Jude Law. You dumb canuck. I always hated you as an actor, but losing Sienna Miller for the nanny? Dude - thats pathetic.

Patrick Stewart is sitting next to a robotic female android.

'Good Night, and Good Luck' the words which Tom Cruise said to his career the day before he decided to go onto Oprah.

I respect Clooney - but I fear black and white. Tough call.

Plus I'm sorry... but Anchorman is the BEST film about news reporters there will ever be. It really does rule the known universe.

Karl Foreman Award For Special Achievement By... (etc)

10,000?!? Jesus Christ. I could make 0.0000001% of the overblown mess that was WOTW for that amount. (But not Ron Howard's soul.)

Jake Gyllenhalle - you are a legend. But I WON'T go see Brokeback Mountain.

There is a difference between feature films and documentaries. Why don't these berks get that? What is so hard to understand?

Lets go JOE WRIGHT. (Did an awesome job in Pride and Prejudice.)

And the winner is... JOE WRIGHT. Awesome. What a great film. Seriously - go and see it, and marvel at the awesome wordplay and brilliant performances. We seriously need more films that are that richly defined in all detail and cohesion.
