Boston Circus Guild and SHOW Circus Studios join forces for a production of acrobatic and musical feats. As time stops, the adventure begins with “Valve: Antique Vaudeville Circus” at Club OBERON on Friday, August 26th at 8:30 pm.
Through the long hot summer six acrobats created “Valve,” a variety of dazzling acts that highlight the best of vaudeville entertainment with a circus twist. “Valve” takes its cast and places them at a tea party when time stops. As they try to make sense of their situation, silliness, cacophony, and mayhem ensue. Award-winning performances include Single Point Trapeze, Partner Trapeze, Aerial Double Slings, Partner Acrobatics, Hand Balancing, Contortion, Diabolo, Tumbling, and Aerial Chains, all hosted by an enigmatic ringmaster. Steeped in rhythmic fanfare, the show features live music by Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band.
