Любая бизнес-школа в своих маркетинговых материалах, помимо описания зарплаты выпускника после окончания, позиции в различных рейтингах и неповторимой атмосфере города, в котором она находится, использует слова network и alumni. The main goal of any MBA program is meeting people and making connections. In order to dive deep into science one needs to pursue MA or PhD.

Specialization in Finance solely.
MBA is more general. While being an MS in Finance one is expected to deal with just Finance projects and do something specific, MBAs form various groups to deal with broader issues, like strategic management, etc.
At least this is how I see it.

You failed to get the point of my question. For science purposes people do Ph.D. For networking purposes people do MBA. So where is MIF on this picture? People are 21-25 years old generally.

Master in Finance is specializing in Finance mainly and, most of the time, only. They deal with Finance projects: M&A, restructuring, debt and equity issuing, etc. They execute decisions previously made by MBAs.

Finance PhDs are doing research in chosen Finance field, and this is pure science.

MBAs are experienced professionals from all fields and industries. They need wide-scope education in finance, law, marketing, accounting, etc. in order to pursuit higher positions within companies' management to make general business-decisions, like creating vision, mission and values of a company, ST and LT goals, strategic planning, etc.

The thing is, that some MBA programs offer specialization in selected fields.

Well, if I failed to get to the point of your question again, I am sorry.
The point is quite simple though, MBA is all about networking, and apparently you need these skills.

Good luck!
