Yule was always a day of revelry among the fae, one of the high holidays that marked the turning of the year. This Yule, there was even more cause for celebration, for Sasha had also chosen it as her daughter's naming-day.

Tradition and civility dictated that not even the slightest guest who might wish to attend should fail to be invited; too many were the tales that began with a slight at a child's Naming, and ended ill. Those who chose to come were welcomed, bestowing their gifts and well-wishes in accordance to tradition.

Among the guests Sasha most anticipated, however, was she whom Sasha had asked to stand as little Amaris' godmother: the goddess Freyja. Who better to be spiritual guide and guardian to the girl?
