Mortimer, darling, I believe we should do something for Alison, for this coming Sunday. She is mother to Delaine, already, and will soon be more. I would like to hear your thoughts.
"Hmm. Not something on par with our Valentine's Day surprise, I think. The spirit of this holiday is different. A special breakfast to start the day, and if other matters do not call her away, perhaps a fine dinner to end it. And... hmm. Something else is called for..." *She slips her arms around him, pondering quietly, resting her cheek against his.
"If not traditional, the breakfast is at least typical. And I do like your idea. Maternity clothing would not be suitable, I think, but something... yes."
"If I may be so rude as to intrude, Lady Trainer? I was wanting to do something for Alison for the occasion of Mother's Day, to thank her for agreeing to be mother to Delaine. I was planning on at least taking her out to dinner the day before, and I was wanting to make certain that such would not interfere with any plans you and Mortimer had for the weekend."
((Let's take a moment to let me facepalm and Qwertyface, then hope the third time is the charm, shall we?

Alright, moving on.))
"Ah, thank you, Lord D, it is good to know your intentions. I see no reason why a dinner Saturday evening would be at all objectionable. I wish you the very best."
((Heh, I've had nights like that too. More often than I'd like to have to admit to.))
"It is good to be able to speak with you of my intentions, and also to hear that I am not posing a problem to plans already made. I thank you, and wish yourself and Mortimer the same regarding any plans the two of you have."
"You are always welcome to speak with me," she assures him with a smile. "And thank you. Might I ask, while we have a moment, the age of your youngest son?"

We could do something to... um... show her how much we like the idea of starting a family with her?
