I love Louisville.
So much. even when it lets me down, like today, with seconds to go. Sosa chooses the last minute to start missing. Anyway, I was supposed to spend most of this week on the east coast. When that fell through i kinda brooded for a day. In the end I'm almost glad i didn't leave. I love Louisville, I love Bardstown Rd, I love Fat Jimmy's, I love ear Xtacy, I love my friends, I love my family. I even love the church I go to. It's honestly one of the most beautiful places of worship I have been to. The interior is pretty stark, complete with conrete floors. But the walls are made of ceiling-high windows all the way 'round. It's set in the middle of wooded area in anchorage, so at all times of year you see green, and sunlight passing through branches. It might also be the most liberal catholic establishment in all of louisville.
i love qdoba so much more than chipotle. i love crossing the street from eastern parkway and noticing the billions of staples from fliers past. i love the bu crew and the uof l people, and all those people whom i don't get to see anymore. i love the greenwells and gina's sweet tea and arnold palmers and i'm thorougly upset i didn't get a chance to visit this time around. i love cafe 360 and their crapshoot service and slightly subpar food.
i love the people, i love the accent, i love the food. i love my mom's cooking, which i have come to enjoy so much more now that i don't eat it every night. i love white castle, which is no way local, but i always think of the one on westport, the best one, and that reminds me that i used to live there, home. i love waterfront park, i love interstate 64 and i-65 and i71 and the gene snyder, the best I's in the nation.
i also love that i've left my mark on vinny g., and that i own indiana in part with another stately gentleman.
i love everything about this place and i'm real glad i got to visit.
home,
louisville
