mmmm. how amazing people are. somedays i find i must peel away layers of myself for analysis. my dad says that as one matures, their brain allows them to modify themselves bit by bit in order to become a better person. (not everyone is capable of this, however.) Various experiences can be catalysts for a sort of "spring cleaning" of oneself. i think i'm going through another phase like that right about now.

the world, or our world at least, centers around social interaction---and i'm learning much about the different types of people there are in the world. i'm thankful for my less-than-pleasurable experiences because they teach me about choosing the best possible approach to living.

my dad thinks that life isn't about "serving the Lord", gaining converts, etc, but actually is for us to pursue happiness for ourselves AND others, and to perpetuate that happiness for generations to come. Life is about caring about others--wanting the best for them, not just living for yourself.
i have to agree with him. There's no room in this short life for moping or petty fighting. it's not worth it. so i'mma pick myself up again, dust off, and take whatever comes my way--with a smile.
