it's my birthday. i'm 27, i think. birthday's don't matter after 25, i don't think, so i'm losing track.
jen got me an awesome gift. it's a homebrewing set, with buckets and tubes and malts and hops. soon i'll be drinking beer i made myself. up next will be moonshine, then maybe toilet wine. then i will try my hand at creating life.
i got a freelance gig programming stuff for a market research firm. they're contracting me at $50 an hour for really easy stuff. they say they'll have future work doing programming and analysis, so this will be a great way to score some quick cash for minimal effort. i've always said that after i do a good stint working in the public sector, i'll totally sell out to the private sector and become an analyst for a market research company. you can make soooo much money analyzing usage trends in pizza eating and shit like that.
i'm 27 and feel pretty good about everything. i hope i can look back in another year and say the same.
