So I meandered down to A&B Sound and picked up a couple of cd's today.
Loreena McKennitt: the visit
Susan Hoeppner: Chosei Komatsu
Having heard previously 'the visit,' I knew what I was going to get. With the latter, however, I had to rely solely on the advice of one sales associate named Dimitri. Turns out he had a pretty good idea of what I was after from my arguably vague criteria. 26 tracks for $17.99. I can't complain in the slightest.
It's cold out tonight, and the wind is howling with terror as it tries fruitlessly to batter down this fortress of concrete, wood, and drywall. The sense of security is somewhat diminished by the gaping window to my right. It is cool though. I think I might grab a blanket and sit outside on the back porch and just vegetate. Who knows? I might wake up on the tail end of a tornado. Wouldn't THAT be fantasic? Anyways...the banging of lesser objects beyond my impenetrable rock of fortitude is beckoning me, and I shall surrender myself to the elements. But first, a dedication to my most viable temptation:
Hey mistress
You with eyes so bright and a heart so dim
Why
Would one throw away
that which they desired so
Just to satisfy some skin-filled fantasy that to some,
is a reality
You put questions in (points to head)
Some I want to answer
But some I want to destroy
7 years ago, you would have
and now you might?
Yikes
