I just had to...(Insomniac excuses)

Sep 25, 2004 04:30

To be perfectly frank (hey didn't I justify my last entry with an "I was misleading" kind of statement?), I just had to write about paths and trails and the 'in betweens.'

Pre-requisite reading:

I have started to read Lord of the Rings again, as my spare time is limited, and often things nearest to my bed get the most attention. Being fonder of ( Read more... )

HI!
yes, yes, joseph campbell, you finally wrote a poem that not about love and for that, i commend you. though you did mention your heart in it ;).
so, i love this "the air was moist and thick, but for some reason bearable, like a rain storm is through a foggy window".
and truly, my dear friend, you have amazing imagery. amazing. AMAZING. if i could have one wish for you, my wish would be that you write and publish a serious of short stories/prose work. just like this one, just like the previous one you posted. include a few rants too, perhaps. i think your prose is your strongest area in writing.. and at the moment, i cant think of anyone who could compete.

The heart is held sway by more than just love, my friend. It's all about desire. Whether or not that desire is romantic or something else all depends on the time of day;)

That's an extravagent wish. I guess I could, but I don't know. That kind of sets me up for expectations, even if it's successful. I don't know if I like that.

Previous post? Like my one about devil-argument? That wasn't fiction eh.

Thanks for the kudos, dude. It seems Im still getting mondays and tuesdays off, so just give the word of availability, and I might be able to make arrangements to get over there.

so... i replied... and it didnt work.

WHY?!

jk.

but no worries, i copy and pasted all i said:

"hahah, oh, expectations.
i'd say rather a belief in your abilities, joe, dont confuse the two. ;)

previous post about.. the road and driving in a ghost town late at night. that one.
though the greenday post was quite nice too. made me laugh and next time i heard the song, oh baby, i cranked it.

i might maybe possibly come over there, hey? lastnight i loved the idea, today i'm not so sure. i'd like to... but.... well, we'll see. i'll get a "yes" in my spirit soon enough if it's a go.

i'll let you know.

yep."

exciting.

I spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out this response. I finally did, and realized it was only because of extreme lack-of-good-sleep that I was unable to in the first place ( ... )

you got a raise?

I got off early tonight, because I was so efficient. It felt pretty swank.

So you don't think the song is very good (which is an opinion), yet you like it (which is also an opinion)? No comprende, senorita.:P (I don't really mean it)

Mon and Tues, or some coming pair of days off. We'll work something out. Things always work out for the better.

oh, and don't worry. Victoria lately is more like rotten cabbage than chocolate cake. You're better off making money and enjoying anti-claustrophobia.:)

Can you tell I'm cynical?

hahahahaha

rotten cabbage? same colour as cake, i suppose, so you can see my confusion ;).

i still miss it though! but i am glad to be where i am.
yep.

uhm... hmmmm.... not this mon/tue, i gotta work. yeah, things work out for the better.

i'm sorry you're feeling cynical in your rotten cabbage patch. things die -and rot away- only to provide nutrients and a starting place for new things. maybe you'll be growing strawberries soon?

i do promise you this: current circumstances etc can be a growing point for many. sucks, but wait through it. get through it. be faithful through it and you'll see the benefits, you will.

bless you, joseph campbell.

The only thing "rotten" about my current circumstances is the lack of free time, but even that isn't so bad. I find that when I attach certain other routines I have (the gym, for example) to my work schedule, I follow them easier. It kinds of makes a lot of things easier, eh. But then again, I also am VERY busy. Oh well. This is what I have chosen, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining eh? Wait. Im not.

Hah, I can just imagine someone taking my rotten cabbage comments personally, as if they're the one thing about Victoria that makes it so rotten. Like "Im sorry you feel that way Joe, but this is how it is." No way!! Thanks for pointing out to me that what could be good you is bad for me, even though that's not what I was referencing in the first place. Sigh...do you think someone would say that? I hope not; because I got a mouthful ready for them.

Hanks Amy.
