day's night

Jun 30, 2005 14:29

each moment brings the forbidden lover
the moon's happy mistrel
to the respite of day - night
does the star gazer forget
perhaps for no reason at all
the shadows of day lights day?
instead he wanders the streets lit by gold
enchanted by the dance of fairies
the lamp light seems to play
and looks up to the heavens and its neighbors
enclosed in their velvet encasing
even as the dark monring dawns
and the soul years for nocturnal light
night and day coincide and collide
for night is but day in disguise
both similar in their definition
as one longs for the other
and the other steals away
