I hate moving
My moving agent is senile. Nice enough old man, but senile. I call today to give him the final address at the end of my move... And he asked if I had a place to stay in Vermont... Yes, as of July 1st... that's why I'm having you store my stuff... But apparently he totally missed that I needed storage too. The quote he gave me didn't include storage... Which means the quote is totally wrong. And I picked these movers because it was the lower price by a lot not because I had any confidence in my agent. I should've known there was a reason the quote was low was because he screwed up.
Now the quote comes back at $2k for 19 days of storage, making this quote significantly higher than the quote I'd gotten from the other company. The company that actually managed to get all aspects of my quote right. Fuck that. I have zero confidence in this man's ability to book my move for me. I'm switching to the other company with just 2 weeks before my damn move.
