"USA? USA? and thats the Word..."

So the president didn't even know that the gov't sold six major US ports, (including Miami, Newark, Philadelphia, and New Orleans) to the UAE, United Arab Emirates, and they did so or are trying to I should say, without even notifiying Congress. Coast Guard will run security...but we won't own OUR OWN FUCKING PORTS, I thought we were trying to ( Read more... )

Well there is room to debate it more. China has owned US ports in the past and still might. The US Army, Navy, and Marine Corps all approved of the acquisition. Yes, it may seem like a bad decision, but the US doesn't even have any such companies, while the UK is getting rid of the last company as well. And as far as him not knowing, that it just some left-winged blogger getting his panties in a twist because his party still has nothing to run on nor any ideas to submit to the table. So until YOUR party has any idea, try to hold back on the slander a bit. It's not very becoming.

PS. Instead of calling yourself a democrat, you should call yourself a socialist. It's the same thing.

All in good fun,
Earl.

I can always count on you to debate. True, sir about China, and as far as owning ports, I was trying to say it from the point of view of what Bush says "America unified" "away from foreign dependence" etc, because I know that selling the ports, or ownership is good business since, although a security risk...given the current state of things. But as far as MY party, your dead on, so far every Democrat candidate has there head shoved up their proverbial ass. But, as for him not knowing, that is what HIS press secretary said during a press conference, saw it on CNN...But, nonetheless, allin good fun indeed.

Well, if our national security agencies don't attest, than I think we should leave the bureaucracy up to them. I just can't understand why people call president Bush ignorant, when he has been the most on-task, dedicated president we have had in a while. A lot of the name calling is due to the Liberal implosion. Look at what happened to the "Liberal utopia" know as New Orleans; their local government fucked them, and though president Bush let bureaucracy get in the way of him stepping in and taking it over, they still should have go their people out of there (much like Florida does).
The main issue here is not ports or ignorance, but the Democrats 25 year old playbook failing to work. Just notice how they have no ideas, and all they can do is criticize. Where is their "genius"?

*hint hint* (As much as you disagree, pres. GW comes out on top)

OH! On Katrina I agree....not entirely, was it Bush's fault first and foremost? No, of course not. But it most certainly wasn't the people's which became a popular argument (not by the president) The Katrina was an entire failure on the entire administration's part. From the Congress, to FEMA, to the Mayor himself. Granted the Democrats are being reduced to name callers, but calling Bush the most "on task" president can easily be disputed. Active, yes, but to what cause? As in since Sept. 11 Bush, or his appointed cabinet, has been making big mistakes. As far as Iraq, jesus christ, thats a huge chaos, we've made progress, and yes Saddam needed to be taken down, but at what cost? We have damaged our credibility in front of the world, not that it was clean before, but...there is no point in making it worse. The WMD, or lack thereof, fiasco cost us one thing we had even from countries that hated us, respect. WE still haven't officially even claimed a reason for invading yet, and then during his national address, he insinuated that he ( ... )

Oh, yea, my real problem with the Ports, besides his lack of knowledge about it, was who they were going to...the United Arab Emirates supported both Saddam's Regime and the Taliban, and would be compeletely neutral if a Syrian extremist used their pull to get something in...and given the money of the UAE and the crookedness of the US Customs, I would say...it wouldn't be difficult to smuggle...

but on a side note, I must say
I enjoy our little blurbs here Earl
