The Absol pads along reluctantly towards her cottage. She's been avoiding the place - and her Pokemon - ever since she found herself like this, and she finally decided. Enough if enough, she can't keep avoiding her Pokemon forever, they must be worried sick about her. She makes her way to the door, taking a deep breath before using the scythe on the top of the Absol head, moving it around the handle in order to open the door.
She barely takes a step inside, and the deafening cries of her relieved Pokemon almost throw her back. The next thing she knows, Dawn has been dogpiled by 7 of her 10 Pokemon (Gyarados is too big to even be in the house, and the Froslass she captured recently must've gone back to its master Giratina after what had happened. But that's alright.) Lucario is the only one who manages to keep itself from tackling her immediately, making her way over to the heap of Pokemon-bodies in order to take charge, "Everyone, I know we've all been worried, but you're going to suffocate our young mistress if you all bury her like that."
All of Dawn's Pokemon meekly remove themselves, and that's when Dawn realises Weavile and Honchkrow are there too. Lucario must have used her Pokedex to get Weavile and Honchkrow to help look for her. Dawn sheepishly rubs her scythe with a paw, "Hi everyone.. I'm sorry I ran out, I was a little-" she paused, looking for the right word, "..disorientated."
Lucario bowed his head slightly, "With what has happened to you young mistress, it is understandable." Infernape suddenly scopped up Dawn into its arms, spinning around and flailing slightly, making Dawn dizzy, "Dawn, don't ever do that again! We were so worried about you!"
"I know Infernape, I'm so sorry." Dawn always knew what her Pokemon were saying when they spoke to her, but actually hearing their voices.. was something else entirely. Suddenly she was glad about this whole mess, just for these precious moments with her beloved partners. But now she felt really stupid just running off like that, she should have been spending every moment she had with her Pokemon, just listening to them, spending time with them.
Rampardos leaned over, "Nape, you're gonna make her sick." Reluctantly, as if he didn't want to let her go, Infernape lowered the now extremely dizzy Dawn to the ground. Nape? So they called each other shortened versions of their names, just like humans do. That was.. really cute. Dawn had never thought about nicknaming her Pokemon before, maybe she could call them what they called each other.
Looking up, she spotted Pikachu hiding slightly behind Drapion. She had tears in her eyes, making Dawn jolt slightly. "Hey, Pikachu, what's wrong?"
Pikachu tensed, hiding comletely behind Drapion's body, "Itsnothing." She actually had quite a sweet voice, being the little devil that she was. And then Dawn's brain clicked into gear. Pikachu.. An awkward feeling crept into her gut, "Pikachu?"
The electric type sobbed and ran over, burying her face into Dawn's fur, "I'm so sorry Dawn, its all my fault!" Yup, she should've known. But rather then scold her Pokemon, Dawn curled her face into Pikachu's, feeling the tears on her fur. "Its alright Pikachu."
"I.. I didn't know!" Pikachu sobbed out, clinging to Dawn, "I thought you were going to feed the poffin to the others, and eat the food yourself, I didn't know you were making it for other people, and I didn't know this was going to happen..!" Pikachu broke into sobs again. "Nape and Luka were saying how loads of others were affected too, even the deities." Pikachu looked so terrified, just like how she had been. "Dawn, I.. I'm scared."
Dawn smiled. She had to be strong for her Pokemon now, "Its alright Pikachu, I'll take the blame for it. I'll say I added in some unusual berries from the island because I tasted them beforehand and thought they were alright." But wait, she'd told Rivai beforehand that she had only added her own ingredients, nothing extra. Dawn frowned internally, but continued to smile for her Pokemon's sake. She'd make it work somehow. "I won't let anything happen to you Pikachu, I promise."
She wouldn't let anything happen to any of them. She would even face down the angry deities for her partners. Dawn would die to protect them.
