Huey manages to put some space between him and his opponent who looked more like he enjoyed the prospect of a fight to the death. As he kept his eyes focused, the boy's mind raced frantically as he attempted to figure out a way to end the battle.
While he continued to figure out a way to finish the confrontation, he noticed the man's body tense and he knew at that moment that he had seconds to act. The instinct to survive overwhelmed all reason the twelve-year-old had, causing him to quickly close the space between him and his assailant and slash open the man's neck. Huey exhaled with a shaky breath and dropped the broken weapon as the man fell over dead. After checking his body for any injuries he could have received, Huey goes over to the recently deceased and takes his weapons to compensate for his broken one.]
