:: post seven :: sleeves and gravity are overrated ::

Oh.  Gravity's back.  That's...disappointing.

- No more flying around work, playing at being an air ballerina. (Yes, D, i went there again. Three words.  Deal with it.)  Which means I'll have nothing to distract me from the mind-numbing boredom anymore.
- No more floating around barefoot like I've been managing so far. I'm going to have to go back ( Read more... )

when in doubt make a list, !bastet, !iris, !piece, i never liked sleeves to begin with, the good times are killing me, !argent, !drake, dark eyes dark hair pale skin, !want, !p/raise

I wish they gravity could have turned back on less... suddenly. As nice as it is to get back, a gradual descent would have been far better than everyone slamming down on the ground- or whatever they were hovering over.

And the weather is quite painful, to say the least. I've taken to leaving most of my windows and doors open.

Oh, god, tell me about it. I'd be black and blue all over one side well, if I could bruise. Hope you didn't get knocked up too bad over on your end, P.R.

Usually I keep my bedroom window open, but I'm considering shutting it for once. (We've got air conditioning up here, you know, you should totally visit to cool off some time.)

Not too bad, no. Thankfully I was in my house, so the fall wasn't too far.

...I miss air conditioning. It's all we can do to get air circulating here. Granted, if it's starting like this, I can imagine it getting worse.

(ooc; Raise is a pansy. >.>; it was 103 and humid before raining here yesterday.)

Well hopefully people are managing okay -- nobody stuck under their refrigerators or anything. We ended up losing some of our teacups -- your stuff manage the fall?

Hm. Maybe there are fans to be had somewhere, to help with the circulation. Because, yeah, I think you're right. Something tells me it's got nowhere to go but hotter.

I don't have many breakable possessions, but two of my models fell apart. I'll be fixing those eventually. Nothing important. Are the teacups replaceable? Will Argent survive without tea?

I'm sure I'll be able to find something in the marketplace. If nothing else, there's always forgoing shirts.

The teacups I'm sure we'll be able to replace, and for the meantime Argent's making due. He always makes due. What a trooper. Though I'm sure the cups are an important part to the ritual as a whole, since he pouted this morning over breakfast.

Mmm, agreed, my friend, agreed. Shirts and sleeves are highly overrated in times like these. I like the way that you think.

We're all very proud of him. He can always drink his tea in something else, too. It makes me kind of glad I don't have my own kitchen- though I'm sure there's plenty broken over there... Housekeeping will have their work cut out for them.

Very highly overrated. I'm sure we'll all be able to survive with less shirts, more shade, and possibly some cold drinks. Though I don't fancy going to work in the market.

Today he had to drink it out of a tiny bowl which was twenty five shades of precious, but don't tell him I said that. Definitely ruined the whole British-properness look to the act, but, I say tea is tea.

Oh yes, frosty cold beverages are necessary, P.R., when confronted with weather like this. By the way, I remember you work at the market -- preparing food (oh please say no hot grills) or is it more a vegetable-type stands?

It's hard to remain proper when you're drinking from a bowl.

I think Praise would have us quit if we had to work around hot stoves and grills. I'm sure the bakery is terrible. No, I work at a fruit stand. Though... I'm not sure how long it will stay good in this heat. Perhaps there will be less traffic, due to the weather.

Is the hall with the cocoons climate controlled?
