I'm sick and tired of the right and left wing extremists like Michael Moore and Ann Coulter, who are tearing this country apart.. I'm tired the so-called "bleeding hearts" that spew hatred against Bush and the Republicans.. I'm tired of the nebbishy rebels without a cause saying that they'll move to Canada because our freedoms are being flushed ( Read more... )

I love McCain... I'm more of a Giuliani man myself.. but both are the kind of politicians that would make me want to volunteer for their campaigns.

regarding gay marriage.. you're right about the country taking a huge swing to the right.. but when you have a big time right-winger president saying he's in favor of civil unions, thats huge.. all thats left is the title "spouse".

I don't know too much about Rick Santorum, except that he's a popular figure... but the republicans will need to bring out the big guns if hillary runs in 2008.. and I'm sure they'll milk the popularity of mccain or giuliani for all it's worth.. I just hope to god that mccain and giuliani don't have to face off in a primary.. my head would explode.

You didn't come off as a raging liberal per se. I'm in LA too, so naturally all my friends are liberals. I'm a social liberal so I agree with a lot of what they say.. I pretty much respect everyone except hard-headed, unfair extremists, e.g. ann coulter and michael moore. as for you being a dick.. I'm a dick too.. so it would be hard to fuck each other if we're both dicks, savvy?

I don't believe he was disastrous.. there were a lot of distortions about him being inculcated to the public.. such as he lost us millions of jobs, he's the cause of outsourcing, outsourcing was the biggest cause for unemployment, the tax cuts didn't work, he lied about the war in iraq, etc. if things like that were true, then I'd agree with you. He's not my favorite candidate of all time.. he's no clinton either.. in fact, I wouldve voted for nader had he been on the ballot out here.. but Kerry was a spineless populist who I dont think would've have done much.. and I think that if he had any possible way of keeping his campaign promises, he'd have to raises taxes on everyone and their mother.. needless to say, I didn't like him.

The only reason I would have for voting for him, according to my personal political philosophy, would be to keep the two houses of congress in check, but that's obviously not enough of a reason.
