Since I uploaded this to Photobucket to post in another journal, I figured I might as well take the opportunity to display it here too

On this particular night I don't remember what I said, if anything at all. I'm not exaggerating on how wasted I was. I could not speak my own name. And I think seeing John randomly there had something to do with that as well.
I did meet him later at one of his concerts at the Roxy. After the show I sat next to him onstage for about fifteen minutes while he handed out autographs to people standing in line. A lot of things were going on at once. He was trying hard to balance talking to his entourage and his fans at the same time, which made for a slightly chaotic scene. His overall mood was elated - I remember he just was smiling and laughing and laughing. I had him sign a few things and helped hand things to him for the people that couldn't reach--he saw my Peppers tattoo (the one on the wrist that they all have) and gave me the most soul-filled look I have EVER seen in my life. I will never forget the way his eyes looked at that moment. I'm glad he didn't say anything at that point because now I can forever leave that look completely up to my own interpretation.
After all that was done with, I got to hug him a couple times, and that was it. I remember saying some stuff about him and how much we liked his stuff but I don't remember what I said in particular. This was the second time I met John and the second time I was completely wasted (In retrospect, I had to be or else I would have been too nervous to approach him). I remember when I hugged him being surprised at how different he felt. He gave both me and my boyfriend these CRAZY big bear hugs (He was behaving very animated that night - overly talkative, excited, and energetic.)
I have so many similar John Frusciante/Chili Peppers stories too, but I think I've rambled enough for now. ;)
