Room 333, Saturday Afternoon

If there was anyway they could contact Sether Sov would have done so now. Of course, Sether would be at the kemmer house, enjoying the company, and not alone and curled up in bed like this.

Their body ached to be touched, held close and more and while their skin was tingling and warm, they felt cold, almost painfully. Once a month, every Gethenian felt the need to close physical intimacy, and hormones made their bodies react to those nearby and turn either male or female. In this respect they differed from all other humans. On Gethen this was normal, here it was not. Sov wrapped their blanket closer. They had never gone through this time alone. At home there was the kemmer house, where everyone could go and meet someone during that time of the month, and Sether, their cousin, had always entered kemmer at the same time.

At least they had persuaded Hank to stay away. Sov kept reminding themselves that it could have been worse.

[It's that time of the month. Mostly establishy, but if you want to have someone stop by that is possible, but please contact me first. Thanks to the roomie for being understanding.]
