RENT
I watched RENT tonight. I had never seen it before. Sure, I've heard it. I don't think you can work in the theatre and not hear a few songs from RENT. But-
So. I watched RENT tonight. And I cried through nearly the whole fucking thing. And you know what's crazy? The neighborhood that RENT is set in is where I was living back in 2003. Remember the Life Cafe where they do the La Vie Boheme scene? Shit, I used to go there every night to drink pints of Stella Artois. My friend Joe was the bartender and he'd pour me a free drink or knock a few dollars off the price of dinner for me.
What a show. Memories upon memories...I think I'm slightly overwhelmed at the moment.
