This morning on my way to work I bought a guitar for £5 at the junk market. It's a 6-string steel-strung accoustic, with one string missing. And I don't know how to play the guitar, despite having one before when I was about 18. I just couldn't resist a bargain.

One of the women I work with needed some shoes repairing yesterday. The metal arch under the heel had broken. Her local repairer had taken one look at them (beautifully vintage-styled red sandals, also needing re-heeling) and been very rude about the condition of them and refused to do them, saying no-one would repair anything in that condition.
