As a severe asthmatic I'm always in a high-risk group for flu complications, but even then all this makes me more frustrated than scared. People are letting it take over their lives! On Friday the posters had even appeared in the lavatories at work.
I can't help but wonder if governments haven't encouraged the scare to distract everyone from the state of the world economy. On one level that's what it's doing. But wait till people start to avoid shops and malls and theatres and cinemas because they are avoiding contamination.
I think I'll get a roast pork sandwich for lunch.
