Lexi, I know we haven't spoken in quite some time, and this is kind of a random comment, but I'm living with a girl this year who kind of reminds me of you, as far as stature, hair color/type, and interest in theatre happen to be concerned. I think she may be like... A genetically modified clone or something.

Random comments are always welcome, hon. I'd love to get to talk to you more, though I feel like we're both super busy all the time.

And you have no idea how cool it is to hear that you know someone that reminds you of me since I've spent the last month and a half having people tell me I remind them really strongly of someone else they know. I was starting to feel like >I was a clone. So, yay!

What musical was it? Were you working backstage or on-stage? Isn't the theatre life strange? Like that's actually your life and what you do in between is a rehearsal? At least, that's how I feel sometimes.

So glad you're enjoying la grande theatre.

It was Annie Get Your Gun and I was on the props run crew, and yes, theatre life is very strange. I do really feel like the time I spend between rehearsals and shows and whatnot isn't as "real" as the rest of my day. Sometimes I forget that I even did other stuff during the day.

Apparently this is a sign that I'm going to end up being a theatre major. Definitey doesn't help that a day after that show finished I'm already into the production meetings for crew on the next show (Mousetrap) because I was bumped up to head of the prop run crew; I'm one of two freshmen on the production team, so that's pretty nifty.

I LOVE Annie Get Your Gun. It is just an awesome show. Never heard of Mousetrap, but I'll google it.

You've found your calling! (? maybe?) Congrats on production team; the earlier you show that you can handle responsibility, the more people will want to give it to you, so its great you have a head start.

Hope your first year continues to be amazing.

Mousetrap is an Agatha Christie murder mystery. Haven't had the best of luck with those in the past, so I'm a little leery, but at the very least setting up all the tech aspects of the show is going to be loads of fun.

It's actually possible. I was planning on being an English major because there wasn't really anything in my life that interested me besides writing, but job-wise, there's very little I can do with an English major. Majoring in theatre with an emphasis in technical design? There's always a need for techies. And I could still be a writer or an actress or whatever else I so desired because you really don't need degrees for those, anyway.

So! Now that I've babbled my life story at you, you better tell me how your year is going. And if you give me a vague, abbreviated version because you think I'm not really interested or some other dumb excuse, I will be forced to be severely displeased with you, mister.
