"Everybody take a week off.  Relax a little.  If anybody needs me... uh... try not to."

[His voice actually sounds quite a bit more upbeat than usual, even despite the ever-present gruff tone to it.]

[Guess who has shown up to the beach unannounced and is lounging by the pool in her swimsuit and sunglasses!]

[Jecht lifts his sunglasses as he sees her approaching and grins.]

[She gives him a half-smirk and pulls up a chair beside him.] Good afternoon.

[Just layin' there, totally cool and relaxed.]

"What's up?"

[Settling herself in shade very carefully.] Taking a break.

"Busy day?"

[Leans back in his chair, basking in the summer sun.]

I was at the library. American history is ridiculous.

[Just idly looking him over...]

[Glances over. He's definitely scoping her out too behind those dark sunglasses of his.]

"Yeah? Guess if the rest of it is like this place, it'd pretty much have to be."

It's a wonder they even made it this far. They tend to pick ridiculous fights.

[She'll just look back at the sky again.]

[Leans back and relaxes, hands behind his head.]

"Huh. That's kinda surprising."

I don't know... They're apparently upstarts.

Taking the day off?

Yeah. Thought I'd relax a little bit for a change.

Good. You deserve it once in a while. I appreciate all your help, you know.

[Waves a hand like it's no big deal, but he does nod a little.]

"Hey, no problem. Dist actually didn't do too bad his first time. Failed the first test just like all of 'em, though."

[Laughs out loud, clearly amused with himself.]

I'm not talking about Dist. You've trained a couple of people, and you're not poorly thought-of.

"How 'bout that. Thought for sure at least that Crowe kid fucking hated me."
