I may or may not be slightly ashamed of my gaming progress this year, compared to the amount of games that I acquired. In my defense, although I did not finish ALL of those games, I did install and play a good part of them. I also did not spend that much money in them, since most of the listed games were bought from Humble Bundle. At least a dozen of them I got as birthday gifts from my friends. Some of them were freebies from Origin.
I'm also quite surprised to see that I haven't bought any console games. I haven't been playing many games on my consoles since I moved them out from my office to the living room. PC gaming is quite convenient to a certain level, but console gaming gives me less headache regarding configuration.
So, here is a list of games that I bought in comparison with the ones that I finished.

I could also list the games that I played, but did not finish for whatever reason:
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue: Quite fun for some exploring, but it wasn't very different from Black Flag. I still want to finish the game, but I still had fun only exploring. The game is huge.
Ballpoint Universe Infinite: installed and played it just to see what was up with this game. Wasn't really impressed, not sure if I'll keep playing it. The objetives of the game weren't really clear.
Batman: Arkham City: installed just to replay a bit of the combat missions. Love that game, but if I ever decide to replay it for the achievements, I will probably do it on the PS3.
Batman: Arkham Origins: gave up near the end of the game (I'm probably just a couple of missions near the end). Hated what they did to the freeflow combat system and decided that my time is too valuable for me to waste playing games that I don't like.
Beat Hazard: love this game for some casual fun and listening to some music.
Burnout Paradise: cool game, but I can't manage to beat a single race because there are just too many shortcuts and the fact that the roads are all open during a race make me easily lose my focus. I kinda miss those games in which you can choose one track and run this track, like back in Rage Racer.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: replayed the two first missions to collect the intels, but then I stopped for whatever reason. I like this game, but I still like Modern Warfare 3 better.
Cogs: two or three more puzzles to finish the game. The last ones are tough!
Dance Central 3: I still love this game and already finished the Single Player mode, but haven't been finding the motivation to play it.
Dragon Age: Origins: the game is not bad, but it's long as hell. I must have over 20 hours of gameplay and I'm not even halfway through the first run.
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition: finished Shu Kingdom's campaign. I believe I'm halfway through Wu's campaign. I honestly did not like the port. I was expecting a PS4 port, got a very lame PS3 port that breaks in certain missions. Perhaps I'm just done with the Musou games.
Hotline Miami: only played a bit of it. It's difficult as hell, but the difficulty is not as punishing as it is fair. I plan on playing this game in small chunks.
ICO: played halfway though the game, until I actually forgot where I had to go, then stopped playing. Plan to finish it eventually. I really like the puzzles of this game and how everything happens in a single large scenario, but I had long forgotten how annoying are the combats.
Kinect Star Wars: cool game, but I didn't keep on playing it because I'm a person who is too lazy to go to the living room to connect the XBox and the Kinect.
Life is Strange: began playing this game, but wasn't quite in the mood to play a story-drive game. I may put a bit more effort in it next year, if I happen to need some inspiration for my stories.
Limbo: almost done with that one. Got stuck in the elevator puzzle.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: I really enjoyed this game. Played over 20 hours of it, mostly the sidequests since they are quicker to finish. I don't think I'll finish this game next year, but it's a nice one to play when I'm in the mood of a stealth military third-person shooter.
Pinball FX: I played this A LOT, considering how much I've been playing other games. Since I got new Star Wars tables from my friends on Christmas and more often than not I feel like playing something mindless while listening to podcasts and audiobooks, this is the perfect choice.
Ridge Racer: this game is hard as balls.
Shadow of Mordor: only installed and played the beginning of the game. Wasn't in the mood to play yet another Arkham-like game. May go back to this game as soon as I finish reading the Lord of the Rings books.
Shift Happens: also got this one for Christmas. Excellent co-op game!
Simcity: I did spend a lot of time with this game. I didn't expect it to be so fun, really.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Started to play because I wanted to see how it looked like. It does look like a fun game, quite similar to Dragon Age: Origins. But I'm still not ready to invest more than 50 hours in a single game.
Star Wars™ The Force Unleashed™: Ultimate Sith Edition: I believe I played a good part of it, but I didn't find the game so good that it made me want to play it from the beginning until the end.
Strider: I bought the Capcom Humble Bundle because of this game. Turns out it's not as good as I expected it to be. It follows the formula of old platform games.
Torchlight: I honestly don't know why I didn't carry on playing this game. It's perfect brainless fun to play while listening to some podcasts.
Trials Fusion: a fun game, but it gets horridly difficult after a certain point.
Virtua Tennis 4: I actually enjoyed this game. This one was supposed to be my brainless fun, I don't know what made me stop playing it.
So, as you can see, I actually did play a lot of games this year. I finished less games than in the previous years, but hell, given all that I have been doing lately, it's a wonder that I managed to play so much stuff. Personally, I like it all the way it is.
