Sometimes I think I'm glad to have turned into a Star Wars fan in an era in which I can actually buy Star Wars stuff. At the same time, I'm glad that I'm a fan, but not a fanatic. I like the series well enough to feel like buying things like this:
Seriously, limited editions of games are cool, but I have yet to see something as cool as the Book of Sith's Vault Edition. Too bad I wasn't able to get the Vault Edition of the Path of Jedi because it was sold out, but this cutie here is going to keep me entertained for a very, very long time. Just check out the things I got in this box:
Well, first of all, I have to say that the package was slightly bigger than I expected, even for Amazon standards. But at least they protected the package in the best way they could.
Even taking the pyramid out of the box is an adventure. There are just so many things in it!! And the pyramid looks. just. GORGEOUS. Not the sturdiest looking thing, but still something that doesn't seem to break easily if you accidentally hit it (but a drop on the flood might be the end of it).
Mandatory shot with the matching lightsaber:
Okay, now that we're happy, let's go to the cool stuff: the contents.
First of all, instead of just explaining what's the big deal with the whole stuff, let me just post a video of how this works:

One thing that I noticed as soon as I opened the lid for the book is that the batteries' fluid has already leaked, leaving the inferior part of the plastic container kinda oily. Doesn't really bother me, since I don't plan of rubbing the plastic and I think the batteries are the ones to blame rather than the object itself. Besides, it didn't damage the book.
There is nothing extraordinary with the pyramid itself. It's pretty much the same from all sides (except, of course, for the front).
As I have shown in the video, besides the book, we can also find some goodies inside the case. One of them is the lightsaber crystal:
This is actually just a cheap piece of plastic tinted in red, but it would look so good in a necklace...
Same goes with the pendant:
It's kinda funny how beautiful both the crystal and the pendant look on the photos, but holding them is slightly disappointing. They feel like really, really cheap plastic with a not-so-careful painting. Still, it feels kinda nice to have them both. They're pretty nice additions to the box.
The book itself would be already be worth the whole purchase. The quality of each page is absolutely amazing. The paper feels really nice to the touch, each page has a different format, just as if it has been handwritten. And there are also a couple of extras within the book itself:
Good lords, my eyes are itching to read this book, but I still need to finish reading A Dance With Dragons!!
