Well done for completing this fic! And you know I love it and think it's so cute... AND SO SAD T__T. I love the DW7-related part you included where Dun says, "Move along, boy!" XD

Phew, thanks! And now that you mention it, I also cut out the part where they shared a baozi so... it could have been cuter. ('-')
And how would I NOT include that part? It's stupid, but I treasure all the unique Wei/Guan Ping dialogs including the ones where Zhang Liao says that he will be facing "THE SON OF THE GOD OF WAR".

...it's so like Dun to do that. Poor Ping, I'm not sure I'd like to be anywhere nearby a famished Dun.

Actually it isn't as hard to imagine as you may think. Maybe not in the original Dynasty Warriors stories but, hey, there is always Warriors Orochi to join the most improbable pairings. :D I really like Oda Nobunaga/Guan Ping, for an instance. :P

Wow, really, really nice job making this unusual pairing work. One round of applause coming up! Pachi-pachi! Imo, I think adding more details of their interaction in the journey and the slow but sure progress of acknowledging each other would make the climax and ending all the more cuttingly sad. So I wouldn't call it completely unnecessary effort. But it's also a wise move to not push too much and just write within your comfort boundaries. :)

Anyway, this is good. You may want to consider giving this pairing another go in the future. ^^

To be honest, it doesn't really matter the extension of the story, I will never feel really comfortable in writing English fics. It always seems that the meaning that I want to give to a certain sentence does not sound as deep as it would sound in Portuguese. Also, it terrifies me that people who eventually read those fics might feel bored if I extend it for too long, specially when I don't put some emotion into it. But then, again, it might be just a matter of practicing more.

Thanks for spending some time reading it. I'll do my utmost to write something at least in the same level! \o/

Eh? If English is not your mother tongue, then you're even more praiseworthy. 'o' I'm not a native anglophone myself and I sure as hell can't write like you. orz Personally speaking, I enjoy reading long fics. My complaint is always 'Not enough', never ' Too long'. I can understand people feeling bored by the extensive length in the case of bad fics. But your fic clearly is not. So if there are truly people who feel bored by extra scenes and details in your fic, I would make =_= face at them.

I look forward to more Guan Ping fics from you. :)b

I'm pretty sure you would be able to come up with excellent fics if you tried.

As for reading long fics... well, unless it is about a character I really, really, really really like, I wouldn't be able to keep my interest for it. And even if the focus of the fic was a character I liked, I would first make sure that s/he is not OoC. Sometimes I hate being hard to please. (=__=)

But thank you for the support, I'll definitely try to write something else! \o/
