Sunny Times in Seattle!

It finally felt like spring these past two days. I like the smell of spring time. It was sunny and in the high 60s. The trees are just about budding, and it's really gorgeous. I love the wide variety of trees and flowers here- a main reason why I fell in love with the northwest.

So i caught up on sleep and took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. It was pretty sweet seeing Seattle, the Cascade mountain range and Rainer over the Puget Sound. So Ryan and I ate at a thai place and had some brews. The waitress basically ordered my beer for me. "You like Thai beer? Its good, get Thai beer"

After lunch we rode our bikes around the island. Got told by a school bus driver that "THE STOP SIGNS APPLIED TO ALL VEHICLES" and stopped right in front of it waiting for nothing. It wasn't like I was weaving through the kids (they weren't even crossing the street) What an asshat. People and their power trips over cyclists. Anyway, we found a little beach to hand out at. ryan took a nap and I was picking up the tiniest seashells i could find. haha. Having time to just fuck around made me miss drawing. I haven't done anything real in such a long time.

So we rode around the rest of the island for a while. I loved it. I wish i had time to take a really long bike trip (Alaska? Oregon coast? **le sigh) Also made me realize i need a bike with gears. Going uphill was kind of a pain, and not being able to coast downhill also a little scary. In total, we rode about 20miles. I feel great! My back is sore today though. laaame.
