Even though I didn't know him that well, hearing the news that he had died brought tears to my eyes. Dan was a good guy, always in a great mood. Whenever I saw him, he'd perk up, give me a great big hug and lift me up off the floor. Being 6 ft something towering over me that was an easy thing to do. This picture is the last time I saw him.
