I had the pleasure of having a chat with the General, and he yielded some... interesting information.

Would you like to speak in person, Colonel? If so, where can I find you?

I've incurred some injuries during the battle that will keep me from venturing outside, so please just come to my house. It's House 1.

Very well then. I will be there shortly.

[His horse should probably be complaining by now, but isn't. Albert's been on horseback for most hours of the day for ... about a week now, so a little more of it won't matter. He approaches house 1 and knocks on the front door.]

[The lock clicks as the door is opened by Jade himself.]

Ahh, come in.

[Albert nods in greeting, brushing at his coat.]

Thank you. I see you were able to venture as far as your door, Colonel.

I could not very well allow an injury such as this to stop me, now could I?

[He motions towards the table of the dining area, where there is a pot of tea. Because nothing goes with discussions like a cup of tea.]

[It's a pleasant surprise, and a welcome one. Albert follows Jade into the room, taking a seat.]

Before we begin, may I ask how you came into your injury?

While fighting off enemies with Anise following my meeting with the General, I was blindsided by a soldier.

...I was careless. It is nothing that won't heal, though.

The lack of conflict and monsters shows in such inattention to detail. At least it wasn't worse.

What kind of observations were you able to make of the General?

I took the liberty to write up a detailed report for my own records.

[He hands over a paper detailing every action and word spoken during his conversation with the general.]

[Albert takes the paper and scans over its contents. Oh dear Runes, a battle report. He hasn't seen one of these since before arriving in Luceti.]

This is most helpful, Colonel. [A pause as he reads some of the dialogue.]

The General sounds like quite an interesting man. I would have liked to question him myself.

There would have been little success in extracting information from the man. He was quite tight-lipped.

Though whether he had real information to share or not is something up for debate.

Not so much for information as to pick at his brain. His mannerisms and perspective of the world are unlike what we have heard.

You have reason to believe he had nothing of value to say?

It's possible. He possessed no name--no identity. There's a chance he was specifically bred by this "third party" to be the General, and thus, would likely not be given information beyond what he needed to know.

It is only one possible theory, however.
