hii everyone!
soo...i really don't post enough! but i like what i'm up to, so i thought i'd share~!
my current project is fixing up my Miracle Candy replica~
i posted a bit ago asking for help on egl
here about how to take out all the lace, and i got a bit of help, got pointed in the right direction...and now, i'm actually doing it!
soo...we'll go in order:
this is how the dress started out:
things that need to be done:
1. take out lace .. well, everywhere. i left in the corsetting in the back, because i wanted to make sure i could find a cotton lace with holes.
2. lace to be just removed: waistties, top bow
3. lace to be added: waist bow
4. lace was to be replaced: bottom hem, armholes, around neck, bodice
5. make both front bows detachable
things that have gotten done so far:
1. all lace aside from corsetting has been removed! so much crappy lace!
2. new lace has been put on the armholes
3. one row of lace has been put on the front bodice, remembered i need a second row.
4. i know the lace i'm using will work well for the corsetting, so i'll replace that later.
onto pics of progress!!
all the lace on the bottom hem ripped out~ lookin better already!
What my bed looked like at 2am one night. Pins, lace, neckties, shit tons of thread, detachable bow, and my comp for music :D
today, when i was just about to start sewing the new lace on the armhole :) isn't it cute!? i was so happy i found it at Joann's :D
how it currently looks right now. nothing's done to the bottom, so i didn't photograph it.
woohoo! my brain hurts so bad! OTL
i'll put up another progress post when i've accomplished more!
haa~ with all that crap lace, i wouldn't have thought of wearing this out! but when this thing's done, it's gonna look awesome!
hmm...maybe one day i'll get the real thing ^^
anyways, hope you guys liked reading all of this :3
