Twenty-Ninth Ink Drop [Action]

[Miyabi didn't have much to apologize for, like any of the rest of people. For the most part, she acted the same, despite how she had aged and changed. Even so, the poncle didn't know how to feel about the change. She...had been an Envoy. A real Celestial Envoy, just like she wanted. And even the Chieftess of Ponc'Tan to boot ( Read more... )

[Sokka's older self had taken to drinking beer. Sokka was now too young for such things, but he figured since he could remember doing it, there was no harm in it. Besides, it's not like Roku didn't manage to get him hammered once. This would be healthy, educational.

So Sokka sits down with a tall pint of foaming beer. Ask not how he managed to acquire it.]

[Technically Miyabi's physical age would restrict her alcohol consumption right now too, but...oh well! She doesn't notice Sokka quite yet, keeping to her own devices and trying not to stick out much. She really wasn't in a chatty mood.

Of course it's really hard to stay quiet when your elbow bumps your sake dish and it goes spilling all over your leg.]

Ah! D-Darn it!! I just got these...

[Oh look, the perfect opportunity for Avatar Sokka to show off. Sokka instead looks over, a bit startled at Miyabi.]

You're still big!

[Brb, wiping off my pants. But Miyabi does look up, spotting Sokka.]

Eh? Oh, S-Sokka. Heh...yes, I am. I-I was just going to try and find the Lucky Mallet to get smaller though.

[Which one of these confusing statements does he address first?]

What does a mallet have to do with your size? What does it being lucky help anyway? And why do you want to be small again? [That should cover it. Oh wait! He forgot one!] And why would it be in a bar?

[That's a lot of questions, Sokka. Watch as Miyabi picks out only the ones she wants to answer.]

W-Well, the Lucky Mallet is just what it's called. I-I/m not sure if there's any luck involved, but it is an incredibly rare magical tool. So, I guess coming across it is lucky. A-And if you get struck with the mallet, you can either grow big or small, depending on what side hits you.

[He nods at all the answers, but he notices she skipped the ones he cared about. He's about to ask when he suddenly gets an idea.]

What if you kept getting hit by the side that makes you bigger?

I'd squish people I didn't like under my foot.

[To bad Aku's gone. ):]

You know, maybe it's better you don't find the mallet. Especially if you've been drinking...

[Wow, Sokka, you're the first one to get her to not only smile, but to laugh. Good job.]

Hehehe!! Don't worry, you'd be safe, Sokka!

[And he wasn't even trying! He shrugs, nevertheless.]

Just to be safe, maybe you should give me a ride. In case you don't watch where you're stepping.

Heh...fair enough.

What are you doing at the bar, by the way? Are you even old enough to drink anymore? [She can totally say that since she's technically way over the age limit.]

[Sokka looks down at his beer, then back at her.]

Well technically I'm considered a man by Water Tribe standards, so I'm well over the drinking age. Besides, it wouldn't be my first time.

Oh, is that right? How old are you anyway? I-If you don't mind my asking, of course. Not close to two hundred anymore, right? [She smirks.]
