Nineteenth Ink Drop [Accidental Voice/Video]

[The journal flicks open from a particularly strong gust of wind, pages fluttering and catching the soft sounds of rustling leaves, the twittering of birds, and an all around happy forest. The small camera, peeking through the leaves of a high tree, shows the clouds rolling by overhead. White puffy clouds, how cute ( Read more... )

[She hopes you're not serious.]

If you change your mind on the whole suicide thing, you could always come drown your sorrows with me at the bar.

[Not as much as she was a little while ago. And oh, man, getting sloshed sounds awesome right about now. She doesn't look into her journal, but picks it up absently.]

If they have sake, I want something strong.

[She doesn't even care if she'll most likely choke on it at first. This was a time for strong alcohol.]

They have strong. Believe me. Come keep me company, Miya.

All right. I'll be there in a bit. Just get me a drink in the meantime, okay?

[And she'll wait for a reponse before closing her journal and looking around for an animal to carry her to the bar. She doesn't have any feedbags, so that might be a little tricky. Huh...hopefully they's accept an IOU.

Needless to say, the Ponclet arrives at the bat about twenty or so minutes later. Well, a fox actually slinks in with a passenger clinging to its shaggy fur. Said fox shimmies its way up to Nami, picks up the poncle in its mouth, and dumps her on the table before trotting back out.]

Nyeh, just because I didn't have food! Bah, that's the last time I ask a fox for help! Mangy, greedy...[Grumblegrumble. Brb, shaking out our clothes of animal spit. Ugh, we did not miss that at all.]

Here. [A bottle cap of something distinctly alcoholic is being pushed towards Miya with an apologetic grin.] Glass isn't very elegant, but I figured it might be easier?

[It's best not to question her mode of transportation, Nami. 8| But watch out for them foxes, they sneaky. Miyabi takes the bottlecap, gives its contents a quick sniff, and takes a careful sip. Ugh! Strong... The poor girl coughs a little, but she's willing to get toasted right now. And it wasn't too bad, if she could get used to it.]

It's fine for me. Thanks. [She looks up at her friend and rubs her mouth dry.] Did anything exciting happen to you as well, Nami?

[It's okay, Miyabi. Nami will get you home if necessary, or take you back to sleep it off on a cushion in her bedroom or something. |D And given Miya dated Aku of all people, she has no problem at all being honest here. May as well commiserate, huh?]

You could say that. I ended up falling in love with the first enemy I made here.

[Sounds like a plan. And a nice, comfy cushion sounds heavenly, thank you, Nami~ Miyabi will be sure to thank your profusely for that. And pray someone in the house knows good hangover cures.]

Oh...? Which is that? [Seeing as how you have so many. 8| She takes another, slower sip of her drink, and winces only a little this time, but ah, it helps ease her mind a little.]

[Sanji-kun knows excellent hangover cures. She now knows this personally]

A guy called Jin. He's more a threat to a friend of mine, but as I don't take kindly to my friends being attacked ... I get in his way a little too much.

[Unrepentant Nami is unrepentant. Jin is at least an enemy she happily chose for herself. Er, well ...not happily, but you get the idea.]

[Sanji sure does have his uses. |Db]

...I've not heard of him, but I'll keep an eye out. You, too, Nami-oneechan. Even though I'd probably do the same thing if anyone was threatening my friends.

[She takes another sip of her drink, a longer, but slower one. Hm, this stuff wasn't so bad once you get used to it. She really had to wonder why Ishaku wouldn't let her have any. Also that hiccup you heard wasn't really there.]

I know you would. [Annd she'll mark that hiccup. Methinks the bottle cap might be all you're getting, but it's probably more than enough for a girl that size.]

Have you caught up with Sanji-kun?

Heh... [She looks rather sheepish, rubbing the back of her neck. It was true. She was known to be rather brazen, even back home. She'd usually rush into things if it meant keeping people and things she cared about safe. Miyabi must have learned that from her teacher and his grandson, no doubt.]

Mm, yes. I spoke to him briefly today. I'm really glad we could talk...and that I could apologize to him. I was pretty mean to him during that curse. I'm relieved he isn't upset with me.

He knows you didn't mean it. Just like you didn't mean trying to be an evil overlord on the last one. Don't worry too hard, Miya.

[...Why did you have to go and bring that up? Miyabi chokes a little on her drink and coughs heavily, looking rather downtrodden after she recovers, wiping her mouth and face.]

...I'm so sorry. You didn't get hurt by those crows, did you? I-I didn't mean for them to attack you, Nami. I-I'm very sorry, it was a horrible thing for me to do.

mikangirl March 5 2010, 03:37:34 UTC
[Wasn't exactly why she brought it up, so Nami will just grin at you.] Yeah, well, I didn't exactly mean to point a gun at you either and insult you, so I'd say we're even. Besides, pretty neat trick with the crows.

[...] Just saying. Everyone gets blindsided by this kind of thing.
