See app; he turns to a drake (that's the word for a male duck, folks!) every time he quacks, which tends to happen when he's surprised/shocked in some way. That is what he originally is; if characters have some reason to be able to sense the "true nature" of things/people or something similar, they might pick up on this fact. Nobody is supposed to know this, so it'll give him quite a shock if somebody knows before he tells them. =P When he's a duck, he can't talk, but he's still the same personality as he is when he's a boy -- if your character can understand animals/birds for some reason, or are telepathic etc., then they should still be able to communicate. Otherwise, talking is gonna be one-way when he's in this form. =P Unless you count flails and quacks language, or if your character happens to understand poorly-rendered ballet mime.
He can turn back into a human as long as he's wearing the brooch (he is strictly a duck without it) by getting even a drop of water on himself -- the catch? Uh, it don't come with clothing XD;;; That's why as a duck he'll be dashing around with his clothes nearby so he doesn't have to go streaking to find them ^^;; So yeah...nekkidness may occur. He'll do his absolute best not to flash anybody though. =P
He can also transform into Prince Coeur who is basically this magical fairytale shrink prince -- be prepared to have the atmosphere of the interaction to become something like that of a stage when he's in that form (darkened surroundings, spotlights on the player characters; sorta like a pseudo-reality state?). Don't worry about it if that's confusing; I'll describe it in his tags and you can roll with it how you'd like. =)
