So we made it to Maine in one piece. Mason didn't seem to mind the car too much, and I took him to pee any time we stopped. One thing I found odd though, was that he panted a lot! It wasn't hot in the car or anything, but he spent most of the 8 hour drive panting. It was weird.

Since then, we've been looking at a apartments and shopping. He's been doing really well staying in the car as we pop into shops too. It's a really good temperature here for him to be in the car for short periods. Not cold enough to make him cold, but not hot enough to worry about him overheating either, so that's really good.

I stopped into Petco for the first time and bought him a set of booties, we've already had a giggle at his expense when I put them on him! And some shampoo for white dogs that's supposed to help with some of the yellowing, and a couple of books! One was that "Small Dogs Big Hearts" one that someone mentioned a while ago... it seems OK but a bit weird. Some of the pictures in the book are terrible and I've seen a few spelling/grammar errors already. The other book I got is a "doggie etiquite book" which is how to train your dog to be polite, which is pretty cute and will probably be useful.

Then, the most exciting news is that I found another store (accross the street from Petco actually) that has Solid Gold Barking At The Moon! There's only one store around that has Innova EVO, and it's insanely out of the way, so I think we're going to go with the Solid Gold while we're here. And, this store (Pet Quarters) is locally owned, and has awesome prices. The same size bag of BATM at home is $16.99 and here it's only $9.99. Of course we're talking about Canadian VS American, but still!

The apartment I think I might take officially doesn't allow dogs, but the roomates are going to look past it and let me bring Mason. The property manager is never around anyway, and the the place is pretty dumpy, so it's not like Mason will hurt it or anything.

Just thought I'd update!
