Gross but common subject
Grrr. Everything is so difficult in Japan. I called my vet because Nano has had some runny poops for the last week. And today I thought I saw just the slighest hint of blood. One tiny drop of pinkish stuff. So I asked them if I should take him. And they are all like "I don't know, I don't know." But they close at 5 and it's now 4:20 so I doubt I could get him there on time. Alos his regular doctor is off today. They said if it's an emergency I can take him after 6. So I asked them if they thought it was an emergency, and they didn't know that either. I could find a different vet, but they are a renoun animal hospital and they happen to be in my area. http://www.akasaka-ah.com/english/index.html
Anyway. Since they don't know anything, I'm wondering if you all do. His first poop of the day is either totally fine or kind of soft. And then as the day progresses it gets runnier and runnier. It looks a bit like mucous. Really gross. But he's otherwise healthy. He's been eating ok and actually has pretty much stopped that vommiting thing he was doing. I looked in his poop for any obvious worm type things but I can't see anything. Any suggestions on how to clear up the problem? Or do you think it's an emergency I should rush him to the hospital for? He poops often but seems to be able to hold it as he's never pooped in my bed, thank god. I don't think it's full on diarrhea (sp?). I will take him in on Monday anyway.
